Exploring in Canon
Thats why I go back to basic to experience the entry level feel of photography. Its to adjust my mindset toward my photography philosophy and the art of digital in latest technology.
500D is not comfortable in my hand initially, now I still trying to get used to it …in fact handling I still prefer with 2 dials. However I may get 60D again soon. I like the latest technology even its just an entry level camera,as compare to the 5D which is 2005 model . In term of the WB, exposure accuracy and especially with ETTL Flash system. Now I only edit every minimum in post job.
Recently I uses UWA lens and fisheye, I think it’s for landscape more than group of peoples photography. For portrait with special effect is good but for commercial shooting like event, wedding ,party….it not advisable, because when there are somebody at the edge or corner the size will double up(distortion) thus it will present very ugly and will get rejected. Of course you can correct it in software but it take your valuable times.
I did many paid job for shooting event, wedding and private photo-shoot recently. Nowadays there are many 'competitors' who came from everywhere to ‘cari makan’ and the prices they charges are relatively low or very low. In positive point of view its a good sign , as more peoples will appreciate quality of production. So those pro or freelance photographers like me need to upgrade their skill and must always look for new tactics in photography to win more customers.

My Photography History
When I was 12 , my sister who came back from overseas gave me a compact Yashica camera. That's how my interest began.....That simple camera has no zoom, no focus just shot as you wish then the result leave it to God! Anywhere it's produce wonderful picture too.( no compare to others).
I started some saving in 2 years before a bought my first SLR: Fujica ST801 + 50mm F1.7 for RM500......Those was in school days then I bought a 35mm lens and found it wonderful for capturing. I did make some pocket money by selling photograph on school sports day, touring and club activities.
After I start working as Music Instructor , I bought Nikon FM2 and Minolta AF7000, then sold it and get Nikon 801....finally slow down and almost quit due to working hectic.
I used it mainly for travelling and my company events.
My first digital camera was Olympus C700 2 .1MP 10X super zoom compact camera in year 2001.
I bought a 128MB card cost me RM499( sound crazy) at that time. I fell proud of it as other uses only 8-32MB.This is a good camera and produce very nice color and sharp too.
I used it happily for more than 5 years. Later I found it's slow start-up, focusing and delay in shooting as compare to DSLR.
My first DSLR was born in 2006 a Olympus E500 twin lens kits(the most value for $)
Used it happily for one year feel like need improve it's quality then I sold it and bought a Nikon D50+ kit lens...suddenly I picture quality appear! Colour, virginity, CA...all better than Olympus(I guess)But I still prefer E500 handling and more buttons in controling. Then I used Fuji S2Pro, S3Pro and D60 and sold it later. I stick to Nikon system for another year before I switch to Canon.
I like Nikon system except the noise. That the main reason I switch to Canon.I had used Canon 20D,30D & 40D.My present gears(from 16th June 09) are: Canon 5D,BG-E4, EF 24-105L, EF 50mmF1.8, 580EXll , 430EX.....
